Dear All,

Could you please advise me that if my wife is a British citizen ( former EEA member ) and I am already having EEA Residence card for 5yrs. Do I have to wait my 5yrs completion to apply for permanent residence card and then apply for British citizenship or I can change my visa status as a spouse of British citizen and apply for citizenship after 2 years of spouse visa?

Thank you so much in advance for your time and attention.

Best regards

If you have a PR/ILR card, your wife is British and have lived in the UK for the last 3 years you can apply for naturalisation.

Thank you Milan69,

Do you mean that as soon as I get my PR, I can go for naturalisation instead of waiting further 12 months. If so, Could you please refer me any authentic link of HO.

Thank you so much in advance.

Kind regards
