Hi,

My son is applying for naturalisation in April. But he is planning to study in an EU country from Sep 2015. Can he do that when the application is under process? or else
does he have to inform UKVI abouit his absence?

Once you apply for naturalisation you can travel without restrictions. You have to book ceremony 3 weeks after receiving approval letter and attend the same within 90 days.
