Dear Sir / Madam,

Recently I got British citizenship by applying naturalisation certificate ( i mean staying 6 years via Tier-1 General Visa ).

After getting naturalisation my wife delivered a male baby in india. My wife got conceived when I am holding ILR visa in UK and because of her health problems (family support) went india to deliver baby.

She is on FLR-M visa ( ILR dependant visa) status at the time of conception.

Will my son automatically eligible for British passport as "British citizen otherwisethan by descent" children born abroad?

Your help is highly appreciated.

Please guide me how to proceed further, to bring my son to UK.

Thanks,
baji

What was the date you obtain citizenship (ceremony date)?

What is the date of birth of your son?

Being conceived while you are on ILR is not relevant. Children born abroad are British by descent.

As you are British citizen otherwise than by descent, your child who is born abroad will automatically be British by
descent. Children of your child will not be British unless born in the UK.
You can apply for a British Passport for your child in India and it is very important that you are named as father on the baby's birth certificate.
I hope this link will help regarding passport application:
