Applying for British Passport

Hello

I have recently got my application for naturalization approved and have got a date for the ceremony on the 25th.

I intend to apply for my passport after the ceremony but have travelled planned in the 1st week of April.

As for 1st adult passports the recommended timeline is atleast 6 weeks that makes applying for my British Passport very marginal indeed.

I was wondering if I can go for a Fast Track or a Premium service for my Passport?

Or can I wait till I come back from the trip in April before I apply for my passport or will I be legally obliged to apply for the passport immediately after the ceremony?

Can I travel on my current passport after the ceremony?

Any advise will be much appreciated.

Many Thanks!

For first passport there is no fast track.
You are not obliged to have passport, so there is no time line.
I travelled two times on my old passport before I applied for British, but I had my certificate with me just in case.

That gave me a thought. What if you dont have certificate and you are British travelling on ILR? Will not ILR be cancelled and hence the BRP will come up void?

I was not required to show my certificate when I travelled on ILR with my old passport. I did mention it that I have it with me but there was no need.

There has been quite a discussion here about when does ILR cease to be valid, and it seems that it becomes invalid once you become British citizen.
Having said this formally you can enter UK without a passport, that is if you can prove your identity without a doubt so I guess even in that case ILR does prove that.
Again, I travelled two times without a problem,
