hi,
I've been happily married and was under 'spouse visa' of residence permit for 2years (since 01/2012 - 01/2014).
Now I'm under 'Settlement' of Residence Permit, and I'm confused on when can i change my BRP to citizenship.
is it after 3 years with 'settlement' or 'spouse visa'?
also we are planning to move to Australia for 2years, will this effect the 'settlement visa'?
please advice and thank you

Do you have ILR? If yes then you can apply for citizenship one you have been in the UK for 3 years.
If you have ILR and move to Australia without getting citizenship, your ILR will be invalid after 2 years.

yes, I've got ILR (indefinite leave to remain) but the 3years....is it from the time i got married and was under spouse visa or
the time from my settlement? i've been in UK for 8years (student visa, work visa, spouse visa than settlement visa).
thank you for the replay

If you are the
spouse of a British citizen, then you may apply now.
Else, you should also be an ILR holder for at least one year.
