I am over 18 and my father was settled in UK for more than 12 years having ILR, but I was born outside the UK.
Am I a born British and can I apply for a British Passport as I read somewhere I could be eligible.
I would really appreciate any help, thanks.

You would only be British if your father was British at the time of your birth or if you were born in the UK after your dad got his ILR or if you had ILR and were registered as a British citizen.

Thanks for your reply, my father worked as a doctor in the NHS for more than 12 years, He had ILR before my birth but I don't have an ILR and was also not registered as a British citizen. I was born in 1990 and my sister in 1986, are there any different rules for that time?

As you were born outside of the UK and your father only had ILR, there is no avenue to citizenship for you unfortunately.

As CR001 has advised, you don't qualify for British Citizenship.

What kind of visa do you have then?
Depending upon your visa you could be eligible for
ILR then can apply for Naturalisation as a British Citizen.
