Hi, I am filling the FORM AN for Naturalisation and got confused in 4 questions I will appreciate if any one can help , looks easy sometimes but not sure why I have stuck :(

1.21> If your application is approved, you will need to take part in citizenship ceremony. The venue will normally be within a local authority area near where you live. If you want to have your ceremony in another area, you should give us details of the local authority location below

I Live in Barnet council and applying from NCS Hatfield because it is close to my work, citizenship ceremony can be held at Barnet no issues, Should I put Barnet Council and its address or leave it Blank

3.2> Are you: An Employee A business Partner Self-employed A director

I have a private limited company and I am the sole director and I am also an employee. I am a PAYE as a take salary and didvidend to work for my company, I have ticked both Employee and Director is that correct or it has to be ONLY 1

6 Biometric enrolment 6.7 BRP enclosed? Yes No

What should i tick here as I am applying through NCS ? after searching the forum it looks like NCS is not taking the original and after taking a photocopy they are returning it back so technically the answer should be NO but if you tick No it takes you to another box which says
If not enclosed then please state the location of biometric residence permit: ? returned to home office Lost Stolen Other

Knowledge of language/life in the UK, I comes in this category : I met the knowledge of language and life requirement to qualify for settlement on or after 28th October 2013; Do i still need to provide the documents which I provided in my settlement application or not required ?

Please help me answering this questions as i will be applying next week

Regards
Sunil

1. Put closest Council.

2. It has to match whatever you put in section 3.1. But employment doesn't matter much in Nationality applications as far as I have read here. I'd personally not worry much since you are being truthful. But I'd take another printout and fill in with only one option, then ask NCS person to clarify.

3. Tick yes and put your details. NCS will photocopy and give originals back to you, that's just to facilitate your travel plans after application. You hold a BRP card, so provide details.

4. Knowledge of Life in UK (Life in the UK test) goes with your application even with NCS, they send original. Reason being after Naturalisation you don't need it anymore. Tick the box but take original LIUK evidence with you.

For point number 1 : HO will send your certificate to the council that you live. You don't have to write anything in this question as it is only if you want a council that is not the one you live in.

The AN form was updated in March 2015. The current form does not have a question on ceremony location preference.

The latest guidance notes state that the Home Office will determine where you should attend the ceremony.

How interesting. They seem to have updated the April form since I downloaded it, the latest April version does include that question.

How cheeky of the Home Office to upload a new form without assigning it a new number!

Thanks for pointing out the latest version of the form.

I think you are mistaken. Because I filled my form last year during my naturalisation, and still have the pdf I downloaded from last year, the question is present in that as well on page 5, still same question number 1.21.

Please refer to the April timeline thread where several people have noticed the April form change recently.

Yes the ceremony location was on the pre April form. No it wasn't on the April form. Yes the Home Office have sneakily changed the form. It appears somebody informed the Home Office that the initial April form was full of errors.

My apologies.
I looked through April thread. Along with a spelling error I also see that yourself and oace specified the ceremony part. So I take your word for it.

But I find that you still applied on older form. Which is risky in my view, but as the thread said it had plenty of mistakes so perhaps that will play in your favour.

Hi ,
is it required to select below option if i am applying for naturalisation as non British citizen dependent. Kindly Advice me

7.5 Where I have provided a photocopy of my spouse’s or civil partner’s passport, I
confirm that, to the best of my knowledge and belief, it is a complete and full copy of that
original document.
