Travelling while application is considered

My Wife and I are applying for naturalization through the NCS after having had our ILRs for over 12 months. Under the new application form dated March 2015, the Biometric card has to be enclosed with the application, if you have one, which we do. My question is, what about travel? we both need to travel for work and while we get to keep our original passports, how do we get entry back into the UK if we do not have our cards?
Thank you

I'd request to book
NCS if you need to travel while application is under consideration, NCS will have your documents photocopied and originals returned. [/quote]

Have an appointment scheduled with the local NCS already and they have advised that I will be able to keep my passport (copies will be made) but I was not sure if they also will make a copy of the Biometric card or if I need to send it along the application.
Thank you

Yes, they will take a copy and return the original, so that you can travel.
Looking at the latest information posted by one of the applicants (who submitted their application on April 2nd) on the April timeline thread the first biometric enrolment letter for naturalisation appears to have arrived. This is just FYI, so that you can get a sense of the timeline for submitting your biometrics, if you are planning to travel while your naturalisation application is being processed.
