We (my wife, daughter and I) will be applying for UK citizenship next month. My daughter is 5 yrs old so she will be applying for REGISTRATION not NATURALIZATION.

My question, once my daughter is registered as a UK citizen, does she need to apply for NATURALIZATION once she turns 18 to remain British? Or is REGISTRATION UK citizenship for good?

Yes.

It is exactly the same thing, just called something different for children.
