Hello all,
I have few queries and I will be glad if any expert can help me .
Just to tell you my case
-1 my partner and me are on dlr granted in March 2015 till 2017 sep(2 and half years) following refused asylum .but they gave my two children age 4 and 3 refugees status. We applied in 2013 seconds and got decision in March 2015. We were told in decision only reason we got dlr because our our children refugee status. They got till 2020 . In our application we mentioned that our children are not Pakistani national as we are not married which is true. Me and my partner met in UK we both are from Pakistan. Now we have children so we can't get their passport or anything because we are not married etc
Now technicalally we say our children are stateless but in home office document they still write our children nationality as Pakistani because of their parents (Us) nationality. But I don't know how to prove . But main question is my daughter will be 5 years old in September this year can i apply for her to get register as British citizen as child as she has been in UK for five years and she was born in UK : remeber basis of her applying is stateless. Pls advice me and if you need any info pls don't hesitate.
One more question as i m dependent of my partner can I travel to my home country to visit as only basis of my dlr is children and I won't be taking them if I want to visit .will there be a prb as children mom and children will still b here . Will they stop me on arrival.

Thanks

Your child is not stateless, but Pakistani. The child inherits Pakistani citizenship from the mother.
A person born outside Pakistan on or after 18 April 2000 is a citizen of Pakistan by descent as per 4.1 or 4.2 above if either parent is a citizen of Pakistan.

Children born to Pakistani mother and foreign national father, after 18.04.2000, are treated as citizens of Pakistan.

Children born in the UK can get ILR after 7 years of continuous stay. Citizenship will only come later.

Thanks for your reply Simon.
However I completely agree what you said but as we are not married we don't have a marriage certificate or divorce certificate which we need in order to get them national I d Card or passport. I have been to the embassy but they made fun of me and told me to get my child passport from British authorities.even if I marry now still I can't do because children were born four years ago . That's why i applied asylum and they gave my children refugee they didn't tell in decision why but I assume that's why because they were aware it's impossible to get their passport.
My embassy will not give me a document for this that's why I need advice what do to
Pls advice

What makes you say that?

Children may later be entitled to register for British citizenship, subject to paying the fees, etc.

Could you pls also clarify you mentioned child can get ilr after 7 years ?? As far as I know that will be only 30 months leave to remain with no recourse to public funds !! Could you give me a link for that as well ! I have no restriction as for public funds etc

7 years is irrelevant, the children are refugees, that's a 5 year route to settlement (ILR).

But what about getting them registered as British citizen as stateless on the basis of being 5 years here can I make am application on that grounds ?? Because by refugee status they will get ilr in 2020 but with this I think they don't need to get ilr can't they be registered as British as my country doesn't give them passport or anything reason which I have explained above ??

Child requires:
15.4.3 wrote:...
if either or both of the person's parents is not a national of that country, a letter from the authorities of the country of which either or both parent(s) is a national (other than the United Kingdom and the British overseas territories) stating that the person is not, and never has been, a citizen of that country
...
Etc.
