Hi , I planning to apply for UK naturalization to my kid (he is holding ILR for past 5Y and I hold BC). His passport going to expire by September. and I have nationality checking service appointment next week.
Can someone please tell me if the current passport expires in September (about 3 months) is that ok to apply for naturalization? or should I first renew his Indian passport and apply for Naturalization? please advise.

It will be fine, there is no need to renew it before you apply.

Thanks a lot. if processing takes 3 months and during the period current passport validity expires what would be the situation. application will be rejected?

Just for your peace of mind, when I applied for Naturalisation for my child, my child's passport was expired 11 months ago. She was naturalised without any issues.

Dear All,

when I am filling MN1, I see teacher is the one in list of references. my kid is in his new primary school for the last 2 months. I am worried if school teacher denies to sign and I don't find who can sign. please advise

I am guessing if child is above ten then it could be an issue, find a British friend of yours, or someone who knows child for past three or more years in a professional manner. Book NCS and apply. Good luck.
