I've got the instruction that it is ok to use the Section 5 of the old form, since it is ipsis litteris the same as the current version (only the page number and the document version changes). Just put a note in fornt of the application saying you have done such thing.

It is also good to remember that these documents have no statutory basis and you're not obligated to use it, so they can't really reject an application due to the wrong form being used. If any information is missing they need to treat it as an incomplete application and ask the info to you.

item 6.4.4 of the document below:

I saw several posts here recently where people were advised after calling HO helpline that it was ok to use the old form for 21 days after the change. Looks like HO stuff give random responces to different people.

Yes it does appear there is conflicting advise given over the phone helplines, nothing really unusual there.

So I take it the advise is to complete the new form (excluding the referee page(s)) and submit with old referee page(s)? Unless you are able to get the new form completed in time.

This is what I'll be doing.

My take is that what they want is the info they're asking on the latest form. If you provide such info, you're gold. Given that Section 5 (the referees and Identity section) is essentially the same, you will be providing all the relevant information.

I had the same issue. they released new form just 6 days ago and I hadn't realised. our appointment is tomorrow and the woman at NCS said we can still use the form for 21 days after an update but personally we chose to reprint just in case we get a funny caseworker!!

Your options: (Option 2 is better though ) - Possible delays if Employment history not submitted

1) if you are using March 2015 AN form , then you can just fill and add the Employment History page of new form along with march 2015 form and write the cover note and also mention on page 23 of form that you are doing so.
OR
2 ) Add the (March 2015) references pages to the new form and fill up the new May 2015 version form. Mention the same on Page 24 of new form.
Info:
May 2015 first updated on 29th May 2015
May 2015 minor corrections done on 4th June 2015 (Version is still called as May 2015)

Hope this helps !
