An e-mail was sent out to my mothers email address (for some reason not mine?) that they have received my application. This was on the 8th of June. But still no deduction of fees. Should I call my bank?

I can make purchases, etc with my card so it doesn't look like its blocked or is this on HO's end?

Give it till the end of next week. try not to panic. if HO failed to take your payment they will send you a letter. you could also ring your bank maybe to see if it shows whether they have recently declined a large payment....

I never received any email from Home Office during Naturalisation, my wife received two. I doesn't mean your application was delayed or ignored or lost, so I would lose sleep over it.
