Hi guys,

I just received an approval letter for my citizenship. I am due to travel in a few days and only coming back 15th of August. The letter is dated 29 June, which means the 21 days period will expire 20 July.

Phoned the council to book a ceremony straight away, but they don't have dates on the system beyond 11th of August (I guess it is only certain time in advance you can book). I can probably phone them from abroad, but what if the dates still not available while the 21 days period lasts?

I asked them this question but they could not give me any answer... The person on the phone just suggested trying to arrange a private ceremony, which I agreed to, but nobody phoned me back as they promised. How strict is this 21 days limit? What happens if I fail to book during these 21 days?

If the letter is dated 29 June you need to book the ceremony within 3 months which means till 29 September.
I did the same as I got it before Christmas and I was aqay for 10 weeks.
So either you call them from abroad or when you get back should be fine

That one is to try to book the appointment for ceremony but if they cannot offer any appointment what can you do?

Thanks. I am just nervous. Do not want to fail the very last bit of the whole process.
