Refused naturalisation

Hi Folks .

I just received a refusal for my citizenship application , the home office stated that i failed to report to them in the past , i left the UK before on the 30th november 2005 after an unsuccessful asylum application, and i came back October 2009 legally the Home office stated that i was an absconder from the 16th January 2007 until i left the UK on the 18th March 2009 !!! i was out of the United kingdom at the time where the hell they got this two dates from ? i have a stamp on my passport stating that i arrived in my country of origin on the 30th november 2005 to proof this !!! how to challenge the Home office decision refusing my citizenship application? please give me some advice .

Firstly, the thread that you have revived is two years old and I'm not entirely certain that it is relevant to your case. You would have been better off creating a new thread.

Secondly, you can apply to the Home Office for a SAR, to see what data they have on you. You can then challenge the data itself, if you feel that it is not accurate.

Finally, if you left on 30th November 2005, what was your immigration status then? If you were illegal then, you would not be eligible for citizenship till 30th November 2015 (ten years from the time your illegal status ended).
