Hi jambo,

I have read the citizenship FAQ but haven't found the answer what I am looking for.
I ll just tell you briefly about my past. I came to the uk in feb 2006. Got married with an EEA national in july 2008. Received my residence card in oct 2009 for 5 years. I then applied for PR in sep 2014 and last week i received my PR.
So my question from you is ( if you can help me plz) as the citizenship FAQ says (If you hold a PR Confirmation for less than 1 year but have lived in the UK for 6 years, you can apply using option (1). The PR confirmation can only be used if you apply 1 year after the issue date. The reason is that the PR Confirmation only contains one date - issue date. It doesn't state when the PR status was actually acquired. If you want to use a PR date prior to the issue date, you will need to provide treaty rights proof to prove it.) can i apply for neutralisation in oct 2015 as i ll be living for 6 years in the uk.

Thanks in advance

Hi foufou,
Thanks for ur reply, I came to the uk as a student in feb 2006 till july 2008 when I married. So I am thinking that my 6 years will be completed (as the my previous post says) in about oct/ nov 2015. The reason I am saying is 6 years because 5 years from oct 2009 till sep 2014 as a family member of EEA national and then 1 year from sep 2014 till oct 2015.
But plz bear in mind I m counting 9 months processing time too from sep 2014 till july 2015 and I don't know if it ll be count.

Thanks

hi mate , no you only can apply after six years if u are from eea or swiss , if u are a family member of an EEA person you must to hold PR for 12 months ( If you are not married to or the civil partner of a British citizen you should have been free of immigration time restrictions during the last 12 months) , I had a same situation
