Applying for Citizenship as a widow after bereavement

I came from Costa Rica to marry a British Citizen. However my BC husband died during the ILR process. I was granted ILR, but now that I am a widow does that mean I now have to wait 5 years not 3 years before I can apply for citizenship? I should be grateful for confirmation. Thank you.
