Hi, I would like to find out if i can apply for naturalization, I am married to a british citizen and been here in the UK since 1991 ,and got granted my
"given leave to remain in the United Kingdom for an infefinite period"
vignette stamped on my old out of date Israeli passport.
I have not left the United Kingdom since entering in 1991
My question is will I have to take the English Knowledge test as well as the Life in the Uk test ? or will i get away with it on the grounds of settlement?
Thank You for your help.

I have moved your post to its own thread as it had no relevance in the thread where you tagged it onto.

Unless you are under 18 years of age or over 65 years of age, you are NOT exempt from Life in the UK or English test.

There is no 'exempt on the grounds of settlement' exemption. If you choose to take a chance without the tests, your application will be refused and you will lose your fee.
