I am Malaysian - resident and citizen.
My father holds a British Overseas Citizen Passport
My mother (deceased) held an Indian passport (cannot locate)
No marriage certificate between my parents as it was a traditional marriage with no registry.
I was born in Malaysia after my father got his British Overseas Citizen Passport.

Qs: Can I get a British passport/citizenship?
Can I live and work in UK?

British Overseas citizenship can not be inherited (Part III of the British Nationality Act 1981).

Even if you were to be a British Overseas citizen (if you were born before 1983), that does not give you any right to live or work in the UK. You would need to apply for a work or study visa as any other non-EEA citizen. You would also not qualify as an EEA citizen for the purpose of traveling to Europe.
