I have a university degree from the USA which ought to satisfy the English language requirement, and am trying to use the Points based Calculator as directed. I can find the institution (University of Nebraska Lincoln) listed, but only a handful of the degree courses that are (or ever have been) offered appear on the next drop-down. The resulting printout then shows "Other" as the degree subject instead of what is on the degree certificate.

Will this be accepted, or do I need to make a separate application to UK NARIC?

If you want a 100% fail safe application YES , better to get UK NARIC ELA. I did the same for my spouse as her degree was not listed in PBS.
