Hi everyone, my 2 years old child biometrics were rejected at post office, guy at post office took 15-20 minutes and didn't seems like competent enough and said to me that biometrics are rejected because of 3 failed attempts ( reason was that child was moving and not standing still ) and we have to still send home office of this failed report and I still have to pay £19.20 fee which I did, he also said that his supervisor had override the system and put that it was a child, and home office can still consider the application without being any picture taken ,, also finger prints were also not taken because child is only 2 years old
I was advised to email biometric team if want more information about this problem, I emailed them on Monday 21/09/15 still waiting their reply ..
Anyone has experienced similar problem ? And what could be options now , will they still consider the application or it will only delay and biometrics needs to be taken again ?
Please advise ......
Thank you

Did the PO official attempt to apply the override &
follow the special additional steps to be taken in this situation
ie as per the HO guidance:
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... t_v4_0.pdf
- see page 14

Yes post office supervisor over ridden it but the problem is post office guy said we could not take any picture... I hope this doesn't unnecessarily delays application as we have a plan to travel in around end Jan. Next year

It is not an error. All applicants, children, babies and adults, have to submit biometrics. Small children only need to do their photos.

If the extra steps (persistent efforts) detailed on page 14 of guide (above) were not followed suggest complain or at least raise a concern.

Yes he checked some guidance and his supervisor over ridden it, so I suppose these steps have been taken ..
