British passport and overstaying

Hi i have a question regarding my sister.She came here in 2005 as a spouse of british citizen.And her visa was finishing on 2007.But she couldnt apply for ILR on time.She overstayed 6 month and apply for ILR after six month overstaing and it was been granteed.she got ILR from 2008.she wanted to apply for citizenship now she pass her LIUK only she need to pass B1.Now my question is

1.with the current natioanlity rules from dec 2014.will it affect her citizenship if she apply now.
2.will those six month overstay affect on her application.

Please help me with those quary.

Overstay will mean a 10 year ban on Naturalisation.

One more question about myself.I had overstaying of 23 days of one of my extension in 2010.It wasnt my fault it was home office fault and i have prove against it.Does it mean i cannot apply for BC until 2020.
Please let me know.
