Passport Application - Need Help

Dear All
I am just about to make application for first British Passport. Having checked the form online, it came to light that the below details have also been asked. Unfortunately we have not have these details available. Hence I’m just wondering if we can leave these blank. If we do so, what will be the consequences. Can you please advise.
- Grand Parents Full Date of Birth and Place
- Maternal Grandfather Name, Date of Birth & Place
- Paternal Grandfather Name, Date of Birth and Place
