Hello All,

I'ld be grateful if someone could shed more light on this for me please.

I applied for naturalization in november 2015. In june 2011 i had 8points on my licence for driving without licence and insurance. Even though i had my ILR at the time , this prevented me from applying for citizenship. I was advised to wait the 4 years after it cleared off my licence. Which is what i did. Before submitting my application in november 2015, i called the HO and i was told that as long as the points were gone i dont need to declare them. Which is what i did again. Now my question(s) is; am i right in doing this? Technically speaking i do not have the points ( i have a clean licence) at the time of application. Will this show up on any criminal check or police checks even if its gone off my licence? The points/offence i mean.
