dear all, i have a question regarding naturalization application.

i have been told by someone that;

anyone who didn't leave UK for 3 or 5 (not sure if it is 3 years r 5 years) years for a single day before they obtained ILR can apply for naturalisation right after getting the ILR. i didn't find any such information in any policy guidance. i am posting this query here so anyone who got any inforamtion regarding this query can reply with their expert opinion.

i shall be very thankful for the valuable information, regards.

No such option, I am afraid.

If you are not the spouse of a British citizen, you need one year of settled status (either ILR or PR) to apply for citizenship, even if you have not been absent for a single day in the past five years.

If you are the spouse of a British citizen, you can apply for citizenship immediately on acquiring settled status.

Acquisition of PR now requires a PR card for the purposes of naturalisation.
