Child born in UK before either parents had ILR

Hi all,

There hasn't been any further update to this thread so was wondering if anyone had a successful MN1 application under these circumstances.

I’m in a similar situation. My daughter was born in UK on September 2015. She currently has no passport or visa as we have not been out of the country. Our current status is Tier 1 (General), qualifying for ILR in January 2016. We apply for our ILR in January 2016 (same day premium service). Assuming we are successful, can we directly apply for her MN1 under section 1 (3) or do we declare her as a dependent and go via the ILR route? I know this has been answered previously on this thread but I haven’t seen if it has been successful or not. At the time of registration via MN1, my daughter will be 5 months old.

If direct MN1 application without ILR is possible, these are the sections we have filled (like the previous poster bilalmalik)

Section 1
1.1 filled 1(3)
1.2 , 1.3 left blank as child has no visa & HO Reference
1.4, 1.5, 1.6 filled
1.9 to 1.16 filled,
1.13, filled
1.21 to 1.27 filled
1.30 to 1.36 filled
1.39, filled
section 2 left blank as child was born in uk and never been outside
Section 3 left blank as we are not british citizens yet
section 4 left blank as child under 10 years
section 5 filled
section 6 6.1 to 6.3 filled
section 7, i signed the declaration on her behalf as child is 5 months old

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I have split your post as it is not a general discussion thread where you posted.
can we directly apply for her MN1 under section 1 (3)
Yes, after you are granted ILR.

Yes, after you are granted ILR.
In my case, only I am going for ILR application. Spouse will apply a year later.
Will it be fine to go with child's MN1 registration after I get ILR?

1 parent with settled status is enough for UK-born child.
