Hi there,

I would be much obliged if someone can answer the following queries.

I have applied recently for citizenship after PR.

Initially I was on IGS valid till July 09.
Applied RC in June 09 but application returned in July unprocessed quoting insufficent proofs of Treat Rights.

Reapplied in end of July and got residence card in Aug-09.
Meanwhile my IGS leave expired in july 09 before reapplying.

1st app for RC: june 09
Returned invalid :begining of July 09
Reapplied : with more proofs end of July and granted RC in aug 09

3 weeks gap b/w expiring of IGS and reapplying RC.

Would this in anyway affect my citizenship application?

Regards

Applications after 12th November require EEA applicants to have a PR Card before applying for citizenship. Have you got the PR card?

Not everybody on these forums know what IGS is? Can you elucidate?

When you reapplied for RC in July 2009, was it an appeal of the old application or did the Home Office ask for more documentation; i.e. was it a continuation of the old application or was it a brand new application?

IGS= International Graduate Scheme which later changed into PSW.
There wasnt any appeal. They just returned documents back quoting that they need documents exercising treaty rights.

So I guess this wasn't continuation of first application.

But being married to eea citizen who was exercising treaty rights doesn't mean that I was not an overstayer during that period?

Thanks for your time.

Back then home office had announced thatincomplete application would be sent back.

Mine wasnt incomplete in my view but should have attached more proofs probably.
2nd application was fresh.
