Dear everyone

I applied for my ILR November 2014.

I did my English test in May 2014. - Trinity College

I used the English certificate from trinity for my ILR.

But I did not know that I need to re- do the English test again and I'm due to apply for my Naturalisation now in February.

My B1 English certificate date May 2014.

Any clarification on this ?

I'm very confused now.

So the home office want us to re take the English exam twice. I paid £150 to trinity in May 2014 when I applied for my ILR in 2014.

So I need to pay another £150 for the English test again now that applying for naturalisation!

Look at this reply from Trinity College:

Unfortunately, you will not have A Unique Electronic Reference Number (UER)

The reason for this is your took your examination in 2014, since the 6th April 2015 the Home Office announced there will only be 2 providers, Trinity College London and IELTS who can provide the knowledge of English Tests.

They gave a deadline date of 19th November to submit any applications using your current certificate after this date your certificate will be invalid for Home Office applications.

After the 19th November you have to take your Examination at a SELT Testing Centre. Trinity College London has 10 SELT Centres across the UK.

Please help if anyone know the answer?

The naturalisation ask for a SELT unique reference number ?

I emailed trinity and this is their reply to me !

Many post I have look on here state that, if I use the B1 certificate for my ILR I don't need to re take another test.

God bless
