Hello,

Congrats on your naturalisation application.

I am thinking of applying soon. I have a ILR at the moment. I am thinking of using the National Checking Service.

1. Do I need to submit my passport(Indian) with the application?
2. Do I need to submit my BPR(ILR) card along with the application?

If yes, will it restrict me from travelling?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks
Suhu

NCS will photocopy your documents and return the originals to you. As per the current timeline you are supposed to give your bio metrics in 10 - 20 days from the date of application(BRP to be done in 15 days from the date you receive letter ) and it takes approximately two months to for Naturalization the letter if everything is through.

Thanks Tamilmaran.

Did you have to submit the Life in Uk certificate along with the application?

I submitted that along with my ILR application and Home office have kept it. They haven't given it back to me.

I spoke to Home Office and they said in I need not send the certificate as they already have it.

Can you please confirm the same and what documents did you had to submit with your application.

Thanks
Suhumar

Life in the UK original certificate will be retained and that will be the only original document to be retained by HO / NCS while you do the submission.
