Hello,

I have been looking around to get some answers concerning the good character requirement. I'm currently a Canadian citizen. I have no criminal record and am a professional. I do however have traffic tickets. Both of which I was judged guilty for. 2015-06 speeding 20kph and 2015-03 Mobile phone in hand. I have read that non custodial offenses were taken into account and in the guidelines it says you need 3 years for mobile phone.

UKF Guide reads ::
We may disregard a single non-custodial sentence, providing it did not occur in
the last 12 months, if there are strong countervailing factors which suggest the
person is of good character in all other regards and the decision to refuse would
be disproportionate. Offences involving dishonesty (e.g. theft), violence or
sexual offences or drugs would not be disregarded. Drink-driving offences,
driving while uninsured or disqualified or driving whilst using a mobile phone
would also not be disregarded.

In the guide UKF it also reads that I'm required to issue my passport. Can I send photocopies of it as I guess I will require my passport for BRP enrollment and traveling for the ceremony? If I photocopy is it required that they are authenticated by a professional other than myself ?

Thanks,

Chris

I did ask for a judgement for the FPNs and sent a lawyer to represent me and was found guilty on both. I would then be required to wait 3 years before registering.
