MN1 for children - parent on ILR LR

Dear CR001,
I am filling in my kids MN1 application now, got a doubt about "Section 3- Parents residence in the UK". I read your previous posts but was not able to find an answer, so thought to write to you again.
I am the father who already holds ILR under 10 year rule. do I need to fill section 3 because I dont understand "British by descent". what is said to fill parents addresses for 3 years period?
I found this in the MN1 Guild
If the application is in respect of a child born abroad, to parents who are British
citizens by descent under section 3 (2) or 3 (5) you should complete this section,
otherwise go straight to Section 4: Good Character.
So shall I ignore section 3 then????
