Dear All,

I was filling up the form for first passport to be submitted with naturalisation application visa NCS. There is a question in the passport form "parents nationality at the time of birth". My both parents were borned in Dehli before the independence. So what nationality they could have that time when there is no India or Pakistan before 1947.

Secondly their date of marriage i can not find out as my father has passed away and my mother cant remember.

The question is about your parents' nationality at the time of your birth, not theirs.

I am filling up the form AN for naturalistaion and in i have to fill up details about my parents. They both were born in India before 1947 (independence). After 1947 they moved to Pakistan and now pakistani citizens. in question 1.25 "your father's town and country of birth" what i should be using, i am confused....
India or British India or subcontinent??

passports issued in that region before independence had name "British Indian Passport, Indian Empire"

I am totally confused what to write. please help.

It has not been answered in previous post as the previous post was for British Passport Application form and this one is on a Form AN Town and Country of Birth about parents.

If you have the passports suggest copy what is on the passport.

You can add a cogent explanatory paragraph to additional info section of form.
(You are not applying based on parents' nationality anyway so the answers are largely immaterial).
