I'm a British Citizen and my wife is still on tier 1 dependent visa and we are expecting our child soon and planning the delivery in India.

I want to know how easy it to get British Citizen for the baby if we apply from India. Does that application depends on parents availability in UK, what if the parents migrate back to India ?

Child's British citizenship is automatic.

Thanks Vinny, my question is.. applying from India while both the parents migrate to india effect the outcome?

Do they check for parents intentions to stay outside UK and do they ask for parents work and residence documents in UK.

I think getting UK passport from India would take 6-12months.
