Hello,
Could somebody please let me know if claiming Income Support affects British Naturalisation application? I am really confused about point 6 in the guidance.
Thank you kindly,
Monika

No, it does not if you are allowed to claim benefits.
What 'point 6' in the guide are you referring to?

Hi Char,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
In the AN guide it states that one has to pay taxes and National Insurance to apply for British Citizenship, which confused me as I am untitled to Income Support (I am holder if Permanent Recidency card as well).

No it does not say ALL applicants have to. Employment is not a requirement for citizenship. Claiming benefits won't affect your application.
