Hi There,

I am currently on ILR since 1 year and I am applying for Naturalisation for Me, my wife and my daughter. My wife is expecting baby in 6 weeks time. So do I have to apply naturalisation for my new born child or is he/she get the British passport directly?

Regards,
cp

As the child will be born in the UK to a parent holding ILR or BC, it will be a British citizen at birth.

And you can apply for a British passport directly.

If baby is born before your naturalization & you plan to apply for babies passport after your naturalisation, do make sure you get your babies passport before you return your BRP
