Gurus or Seniors,
I was granted ILR on 30/06/2015, I was booked an appointment with NCS on 30/06/2016, will this meet the one year ILR requirement ? or do I need to book an appointment on a later date ?
Also NCS advised, I had to be in the country on exact date of 30/06/2011, which I was but left on 01/07/2011 for three weeks holiday while I was present in the UK since 06/2010.
I just need clarification on when I'm eligible to apply for naturalization and avoid and confusion and or rejections.
would appreciate your comments please

There is conflicting information about whether it's the date of NCS appointment or the date application arrives at HO (and if you LEFT on 1/7 I guess you were still sort of in the country whereas 2/7 you were away?), but if it risks the application being rejected because HO get it on 1/7 and you left the country that day 5 years ago I'd opt for an appointment 3 weeks from now.

Date of application is the date of your NCS appointment and this is the day that you must be physically present at the start of your qualifying period.

+1 No doubt about it. The date of NCS appointment is the qualifying date. For postal applications it the date the HO receive the application.

Yet another thing the NCS got wrong in my case then. Not that it matters as I haven't been away in May ever.

This hasn't always been the case. Previously even with the NCS it was the date the HO received the application which qualified.

Ah thanks for that so just outdated rather than wrong as such. I also seem to remember a date received +1 day being quoted somewhere - as if the rule itself wasn't odd enough !
