Advice on Son's eligibility for british Passport

Hi,

I am currently on Tier 2 visa and my family is on my dependent visa. We will be eligible for ILR in 2018. I have a question regarding my son's situation.

He was born in UK in 2015. Then he went to Pakistan and he is living there with my parents. He has the Tier 2 (Child) visa. Our plan is to keep him there for 15-18 months before he can start going to day cares in London. I want to know is there a condition on consecutive days outside UK which can make him ineligible for British passport in 2018 (The time when I will apply for ILR with my wife)? He was born in UK so he will directly get the passport and not ILR.

Waiting for reply. Thank you

He won't get a passport directly. But he will be entitled to register after a parent is granted ILR.

Thank you for the replies.. I asked a person about this and she gave me this reply
The residency requirements are that your son should have no more than 450 days absence from the UK in the last 5 years and no more than 90 days immediately preceding submission of the application. So long as your son’s absence in the last 12 months is less than 3 months you should be fine.
I am confuse :| :?

Can someone tell me if its true? Thanks

No, that quote is irrelevant to a UK born child's entitlement.
