Hi,

I initially came to the UK in Dec 2008 on a work permit and after a 7 year period, I am now a British citizen. My wife is on a PBS dependant visa (in Aug 2012) and is eligible for settlement in Aug 2017. I have a daughter who is also eligible for settlement same time next year but was wondering if she could be "Registered" as a British citizen now? Is that possible? If yes then does my wife need to be settled in the UK before I could register my daughter as British citizen?

She was born in India.

Child will be eligible once mother has ILR. Be aware that HO expects born abroad child to also have ILR before applying for registration.
