Form T or Form AN?

Hi all,

I just wanted to clarify the correct form to use as I have been given conflicting information over which I should be using. I was born in the UK in 1986 to a Jamaican mother and Nigerian father, I know that neither had ILR when I was born. I have lived in the UK all my life and haven't left. I saw a solicitor and they told me I can register via Form T, have obtained a letter from my Doctor and my Primary School verifying I have been here the first 10 years of my life so no issues there. When I contacted my local council's NCS to start the process, they were adamant that the information I was given was incorrect and I should be applying for naturalisation via Form AN. I'm quite sure that Form T is the one I should be applying with, but obviously it's an expensive mistake to make if I'm wrong so which form should I be using?

Thanks

I believe that it should be form T, but wait for others to confirm in case I've missed something.

Form T is the one to use if you were born in the UK and have lived here for the first 10 years of your life.

So it sounds like you are correct.

This isn't the first time the NCS gave the wrong advice.

Form T is correct.
Form AN may fail if you haven't been granted ILR.
