Family of six, oldiest child will be 10yrs in Nov 2016. All the children born in UK and never left UK. We were granted 2.5 years leave to remain which is due to be renew in Dec 2017. My question is can we register my oldiest child as a british citizen once he clocks 10 years? and if yes which application form should we use, and also is it something we can do ourselve or do we require an immigration lawyer to help. Child has leave to remain which expires Dec 2017. My second question when renewing our leave to remain in Dec 2017, my second child will be turning 10years in April 2018. Is it advicable to include him on the application or simply wait and register him as a BC in april 2018. I will really apprciate any advice.

Thanks
Remiee

@ CR001. Thanks for the reply. I have just called HO and they confirmed that I can use the NCS service for the application.

The guidance notes make no mention of using NCS and only provides a postal address to use.

HO are also known for giving out incorrect advice. Your choice, worth a try.

It actually says you can use NCS on the guidance note. see page 5 para 4. I also called Hillingdon NCS and they confirmed that yes we can use the service.
