Query-British Passport processing after Naturalisation?

Hi there!

I have got my Naturalisation certificate (via ceremony at my local council) on 04/08/2016 and now waiting for my British passport. Note: I did apply my British passport sametime as naturalisation application via NCS - JCAP service]

When I checked the processing timelines in the immigration board website, after ceremony, the passport application processing takes 8-10 calendar days to complete. Since it's been more than 10 and no response so far, I did contact the HM Passport Office for the status checks - It appears, they are still waiting for UK V&I team to inform HM PO to proceed with my passport application to issue it to me.

Is there anything (any contact number to reach out UK V&I team), I can do here to speed-up the process as I am very badly looking for my passport to come through due to my travel plans.

Please advise. Thanks in advance!

No. You are not the only one this has happened to either, you just need to sit tight and be patient, eventually some cogs will turn somewhere within HO / HMPO and your passport will be dispatched.
