Just got citizenship via UKF - passport question?

Hello,

I just got my citizenship via my UKF form which gives me citizenship by descent.
That means that under the old rules I would have been born British, and now got that right.

But when I apply for my passport I'm presented with this question "Was the applicant a British national at birth?"

Well I was not - but the UKF form gave me citizenship by descent and therefore I should be British from birth. What do I answer?

Thanks :)

"No."

The question isn't 'How are you British?'. The key point for HMPO is that there will have been a clear, formal record of your being British, whereas some of those born British may have to hunt for their parents' employment records to prove that they're British.
