'No benefits claim' confirmation letter by DWP?

Hi,

wanting to find out if anyone was successful getting the British passport for their child (based on EEA )without a letter confirming they or their other half weren't claiming benefits during the five years.

If I was you, I'd just get the letter - it's quick and easy to obtain so why cause an issue and delay the passport application.

P.S. The letter is only required if you were exercising treaty rights as self-sufficient or as a student at any point during yoru 5 year QP. If you were working it's not required.

Hi, how did you get the letter from dwp please?
I spoke to them and they refused to issue it.

I also need it for me babys first passport.
