"About indefinite leave to remain
If you've lived in the United Kingdom legally for a certain length of time, you may be able to apply to settle here. This is called ‘indefinite leave to remain’.
It allows you to stay in the United Kingdom and Islands permanently without any restrictions from immigration on your stay and employment."

You do not need a permit to work in Jersey if you are:
- a non EU / EEA passport holder who has no restrictions attached to your stay

Thank you. Let's say I live in Jersey for 2 years and then would like to come back to the UK. Would this time count as an absence from the UK please?
