Hi,
Me and my husband got ILR in April 2016 but we have a daughter born in 2015 (before ILR). We have registered her as Indian citizen and applied for her Indian passport but it does not hold UK visa because of some reasons.
I know we have to wait for 12 months for applying for British passport but does my daughter have to wait for 12 months as well for British passport or she can apply now?
Many thanks

Your child is not able to apply directly for a British passport. They will first have to be registered for British citizenship on Form MN1 under section 1(3).
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... _04-16.pdf
The fee for this is currently £936

Daughter cannot apply for a British passport as she is not British.
If she was born in UK she is now entitled to register as a citizen (by virtue of having at least one settled parent).
Passport application can follow once citizenship has been granted.

There is no concept of 'wait 12 months' in an application for a minor.
If requirements have been met then apply as and when you wish.
Pro tip: Apply via NCS and keep hold of your documents.
