Hi,

I am applying for Naturalisation. My quiestion :

What can I/should I consider to be my first entry in the UK on a long term basis?
_______________________________________

I have entered the UK on various occasions, as a holder of various different visas:

1. Student Visa
2. WP Visa
3. T (1) G visa, then while I was a T1(G) holder switched to the EU immigration route inside the UK and I have been residing in the UK since then without interruptions.

Breaks between visas: there have been none, except for 20 days between the Student Visa and the WP visa

Absences form the UK: the longest absence form the UK during this period has been a 6 month absence, followed by 1 day in the UK, followed by another 4,5 month absence, all while I was a WP holder.

What can I/should I consider to be my first entry in the UK on a long term basis?

Many thanks

Quoting from one of your previous posts:
"11 may 2009 - I started employment in a highl y skilled job and I have remained employed ever since without interruptions"

On the face of it this seems to be the date to use.

Hi,

I've got another question: can the entry of an non-EU national on WP (5 years)visa be counted as entry on long-term basis ?

Many thanks

I used the date I came here on a spouse visa as when I came here as a student my plans were very different and I had not intended to settle. I explained this and both dates in the extra text field at the end.
