Additional evidence for self employed individuals

Hi Gurus,

I have been on full-time permanent employment till recently.

However, I will be starting contracting from 3rd week of November under a limited company. I will not be invoiving my client before end of November.

Form AN guidance states, I need to attach HMRC self-assessment tax report if I am self-employed.

In the above scenario, if I apply in first week of december, what evidence should I attach on account of self-assessment?

Hi,

I think you are not self employed if you work via a limited company as a director because you will be treated as an employee and paid through PAYE. Self Employed status will be applicable for sole traders and not Directors of Ltd Company.

Are you requesting a response on behalf of INDILR or are you posting under two different names :?:

I am not posting under two names. However, if I work as a director for a limited company, will I be considered self-employed or employee? If, I am considered as self-employed, and I have not yet invoiced my client, will my self-assessment from HMRC be sufficient?
