Hi
Currently parents are on ILR (more than one year).I planning to apply for citizenship for my kid who already got PR one year back(born outside UK).My doubt is child alone can apply for citizenship? OR Is it mandatory to apply one parent for citizenship along with child? Also we are planning to apply for passport for same time. The passport form getting from post office can be used for this purpose ? (we are using NCS checking svs)

Appreciated your reply

Mat

No, a child born abroad can only register for BC when one or both parents register.

Hi CR001
Thank you for your reply.

In this case the parent and child can apply same time BC or my my kid has to wait until one parent granted BC?
Is there any combined form for Parent and child or apply in separate forms ie MN for child and AN for adult? For the passport do I need to to use the form from Post office? Child application is coming under Sect 3 (1) as he born outside UK?

Appreciated your reply
