As per my understanding, to apply for registration as a British Citizen under S1(4), the applicant must:
• have been born in the United Kingdom on or after 1 January 1983;
• be 10 years of age or over;
• have spent no more than 90 days outside the United Kingdom in each of the first 10 years of your life; and
• be of good character
What's the age of the child?
Did the child born in the UK?
regarding absence in 2007, was it continuous 120 days absence from the UK?
Where did your child go? and with who?
as far I know parents being illegal is irreverent in that case, but please take legal advice before applying.

You would have to rely on discretion being applied. Discretion is discretionary so cannot be guaranteed.

Did you read the exemption of Section

The user only posted his query 2.5 months ago. Unlikely, if he has applied, that he has had a response as yet.

Hi I applied for my son BC throught T1. It only took 3 months. I am an eU parent and did not need to prove my residance. The T 1 form is just based on your child.

The original poster in this topic has already received approval of the form T application for the child
