Dear All
Please kindly advice me
I am applying for my naturalisation in december 2016 and if everything goes perfect i will get the passport in next 6-8 months. since my ILR my wife and daughter is on flr(m) visas with me in UK.
The reason Iam here is my son who was born in India and have visited once when i was on Entrepreneur visa is back home for some personal reasons and his visa is already expired and has never been on flr(m).

while reading about naturalisation and nationality i have come across that the once iam british citizen ' i can apply for my children outside UK direct for british nationality if they are under 18'.

Can please someone enlighten me what does that mean in my case, because iam going to apply for my son's flr(m)dependent visa next month.

Your valuable time and suggestion will be appreciated.

Best Regards

No, you are mistaken and have read incorrectly. You being granted citizenship does not change his status retrospectively.

A child born abroad requires ILR before being eligible for citizenship and will normally follow the same route as the non settled (ILR) parent, ie. child needs settlement visa (VAF4A from abroad. FLR(M) can only be applied for within the UK).
